Our main goal is to provide testing services in the fields of production, development and quality assurance that meet the highest quality requirements.
Our activities include testing according to international standards (ISO, EN, DIN, ASTM, SAE), developing unique testing methods as well, identifying and solving quality, moreover technical problems. In addition, we also perform tests in accordance with the requirements of key OEM manufacturers in the automotive industry - such as Volkswagen, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Ford, Suzuki, Kia. With our extensive experience and modern instrumentation, we support players in the automotive, electronics and packaging industries, and the construction industry in ensuring that their products meet international standards and customer expectations in all required aspects. The laboratory regularly and successfully participates in domestic and international round robin tests (e.g. DRRR, KSI), thus proving the accuracy, reliability, and professional recognition of our testing activity.

Standard tests

With more than two decades of experience, we perform tests based on international standards (ISO, EN, DIN, ASTM, SAE).

Failure analysis

Our experts leverage extensive experience to support partners in the analysis and resolution of quality and technological problems.

Customer/application specific tests

We develop unique solutions for the quality control of finished and semi-finished plastic products that need to be tested in a non-standard way.

Tested materials and products

Extensive testing of finished and semi-finished plastic and polymer products, as well as testing of the coating of metals.

Some of our tests

Technical cleanliness

During technical cleanliness, we examine contaminants deposited on the surface of finished products or components (e.g., dust, shavings, burrs, flakes from cutting, chips, and other particulates). These small adhered contaminants can adversely affect product quality and service life, and may act as sources of failure during operation. This factor is of particular importance in the automotive and electronics industries; therefore, compliance with cleanliness requirements represents a key focus area in our laboratory. Our laboratory is equipped with an advanced cleanroom that meets relevant standards, featuring state-of-the-art washing equipment and microscopy systems for the identification and analysis of contaminants.

Weather resistance

Weathering resistance testing involves simulating environmental effects on samples under intensified conditions compared to natural exposure. During the test, the behavior of a given material or coating is evaluated in response to specific environmental factors. Such factors include ultraviolet (UV) radiation, temperature fluctuations, precipitation, humidity, and, in certain cases, salt exposure. Artificial light sources are used, and changes in the samples are monitored over defined cycles in comparison with a reference specimen. This enables the assessment of color changes, loss of surface gloss, crack formation, and other forms of material degradation. Accelerated weathering testing plays a critical role in the automotive industry, where plastic components and coated parts are exposed to outdoor conditions and therefore to various environmental influences.

Flammability

Flammability testing plays a key role in safety engineering across all industries where polymers, plastics, or other combustible materials are used. This method not only determines whether a material ignites but also evaluates the rate of flame propagation and whether the material is capable of self-extinguishing. The results provide essential data to support the reduction of fire risk and the improvement of product safety. This is particularly critical in the automotive and construction industries, as well as in any application where human safety may be at risk.

Emissions

Emission testing is used to determine the quantity of organic compounds released by materials or products under conditions representative of actual use. Measuring such emissions is particularly important in cases where the health compliance of indoor air quality in enclosed environments is critical. These tests enable the identification and quantification of volatile, potentially harmful compounds that may be released into the air when a product is exposed to normal or elevated temperatures.

Fields of testing

A significant portion of our professional expertise is focused on the testing of automotive plastic and metal components. Our company performs accredited testing in accordance with a wide range of industry standards, including a notably high number of applicable specifications. In addition, we conduct tests aligned with OEM standards as well as customized measurements tailored to the specific requirements of our automotive partners. Thanks to the diversity of our activities, we examine - among others - the emission of harmful substances from interior automotive components, as well as the adhesion properties of coatings applied to exterior elements. Our laboratory is also equipped to carry out complex testing in compliance with comprehensive automotive standards.

Over the years, we have provided services to numerous stakeholders in the electronics and electrical engineering industries. Our most frequently requested services include cleanliness analysis and flammability testing; however, our colleagues are always available to support the interpretation of measurement methods and standards related to other components as well. Whether it involves coated surfaces, buttons subjected to wear, or connectors exposed to significant mechanical stress, our company assists in selecting and performing the appropriate testing procedures.

In the packaging industry, materials must comply with a wide range of regulatory and performance requirements. Our laboratory routinely performs key industry-relevant tests, including mechanical characterization, moisture permeability measurements, thermal resistance evaluation, and functional testing. In addition, we frequently support clients in resolving manufacturing-related issues. For guidance on applicable packaging standards and the selection of appropriate testing methods, please feel free to contact our team.

Whether in the construction, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industries, our laboratory offers a broad range of testing services across multiple sectors. With our modern equipment and advanced instrumentation, we are able to meet the testing requirements of these industries as well. A comprehensive list of available tests and standards is maintained in our flexible scope of accreditation. For further information, please contact our colleagues, who can prepare a precise, tailored quotation and testing plan to meet your specific needs.

Troubleshooting and solution suggestions

The purpose of failure analysis is to accurately identify the root causes of material-, processing-, or quality-related issues arising during production, and to provide professional solutions that help prevent such defects in the future. The laboratory staff possess extensive experience in the failure analysis of plastics processing and polymer-based products, enabling them to quickly and reliably determine the underlying causes of problems. The results of these investigations effectively support product development, quality assurance, and process optimization, leading to significant cost savings and more consistent product quality for our partners.

The most common inquiries include the proper selection of raw materials, determination of material composition, evaluation of the suitability of plastics for specific applications, and improvement of processing efficiency. Frequent issues include cracking, fracture, deformation, contamination, deviation from specified properties, and the occurrence of aesthetic defects. In some cases, materials do not bond properly, or the final product fails to perform its intended function—these are all areas where detailed laboratory testing and professional evaluation provide substantial support.

To identify the root causes of failures, we apply a range of analytical and testing methods, including Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Melt Flow Index (MFI) measurement, filler content determination, as well as stereomicroscopy and polarized light microscopy. These methods provide a comprehensive understanding of the material’s structure, composition, and behavior. Based on the test results, we offer practical recommendations to eliminate manufacturing defects, optimize material usage, and significantly improve the reliability of the final product.
