Identifying quality and technological problems by providing solution suggestions
The identification of quality and technological problems plays a key role in the stability of production processes, the reliability of products and the minimization of scrap rates. The aim of the tests is to precisely determine the material, structural or technological causes that can lead to manufacturing defects, functional deviations or long-term failures. This is particularly important because without recognizing the root causes of the problems, it is not possible to find a real, lasting solution.
We use state-of-the-art laboratory equipment combined with decades of professional experience to support failure analysis. During the tests, great emphasis is placed on the detailed analysis of the structural, mechanical, rheological, thermal and surface properties of polymer raw materials, semi-finished and finished products. The goal in each case is not only to identify the problem, but also to understand its origin, and then to propose technological modifications that will eliminate the defect in the long term.
Failure analysis not only serves to address immediate manufacturing difficulties, but also contributes to production optimization, more accurate material selection, and quality assurance. Based on the results of the investigations, manufacturers are able to prevent later costly complaints, warranty issues, or product recalls. For companies using suppliers’ products, our test results provide the opportunity to support claims toward their suppliers with actual technical findings and expert evaluations regarding unpleasant failures experienced during application. This process is particularly important for industries where quality requirements are exceptionally stringent, such as the automotive, electronics, packaging, and construction industries.
The laboratory regularly and successfully participates in domestic and international round robin tests (e.g. DRRR, KSI), which guarantee the reliability, traceability and professional credibility of the test results. This continuous professional control ensures that our recommendations are proven to work in an industrial environment and meet the expectations of manufacturers.
During the troubleshooting process, we answer questions such as:
-
Why does the product crack, break or deform?
-
What causes surface defects, discoloration or contamination?
-
Why are the guaranteed material properties not met?
-
What technological parameters need to be modified?
-
What raw material or manufacturing process is more suitable for the desired function?
The test is often supplemented by special analytical methods, such as DSC, FT-IR, MFI, microscopic structure examination or hardness measurement, which provide deeper insight into the behavior of the material.
The identification of quality and technological issues is therefore not merely failure analysis, but a comprehensive service that enables the optimization of manufacturing processes, enhances product reliability, supports the substantiation of potential claims, and contributes to long-term business stability.
